Switzerland’s Emil Frey Racing, one of the two squads (together with Farnbacher Racing) that will bring the new Lexus RC-F GT3 to its race debut in the International GT Open, has announced the three drivers that will be involved in the project. along Albert Costa, Philipp Frommenwiler and Lorenz Frey will alternate at the wheel according to events.
Barcelona-born Albert Costa (26) started his GT career last year, precisely with Emil Frey Racing, after conquering titles in the F.Renault and shining in Formula 3.5, while Philipp Frommenwiler (27) and Lorenz Frey (26), from the Swiss Cantons of Thurgau and Zurich,respectively, both have already a solid GT racing experience.
Lorenz Frey, who also acts as Team Principal, commented: “We are very excited to take the Lexus project to a new level and purely focus on the progress of the RC F GT3. We learned a lot last year and now we can put all what we have experienced, our efforts and strength into making this race machine even better. There will be no pressure on results and we can simply take each race as a testing ground. But at the same time, it would be great to set one or two milestones.”
