The MS Racing Mercedes surprises everybody in free practice


In a warm and windy Friday, the Hungaroring welcomed the 24-car field of the International GT Open for an intense day of free practice, which yielded some surprises.

GT-Am cars starred on the hilly track, with the MS Racing Mercedes of Hrachowina-Konrad posting the best time (1.44.282, with Martin Konrad at the wheel) in the afternoon session, further improved in the Bronze test (1.43.452). He precede by only 51 thousandths another Am car, the SF Racing Ferrari of Fu Songyang and his one-off team mate Rino Matronardi, who subs for Andrea Caldarelli and signed the lap time .

Third-fastest was the first Pro-Am car, the Lechner Mercedes of Jäger-Plachutta, with the first Pro car coming in fourth and being the Ratón Lambo of Liberati-Ling.

The only small incident was a contact with the barriers of Alex Moiseev (Kaspersky Ferrari) in the afternoon, but with repairable damage.
