Juan Manuel ‘Cochito’ López is back to the International GT Open after a year of absence. The Argentine driver, who has starred in the series in 2011-12, finishing twice in the overall top 5 and clinching 5 wins, has been confirmed as one of the drivers of the Drivex Porsche 911 RSR.
The 34-year-old from Buenos Aires, who has raced on both sides of the Atlantic and was a Spanish SuperGT Champion in 2010, will join Fernando Monje to form a very competitive pair in the Spanish team directed by Miguel Ángel De Castro.
“I am extremely happy of being back in a series that has given me many satisfactions”, commented Cochito, “and excited to be driving a Porsche for the first time. I am convinced that together with Fernando and the Drivex team, we can do extremely well”.
